This book is a compilation of 9 selected papers that are separated into two parts, i.e. Part 1- Construction Contract, and Part 2- Contract Administration. Each part reflects the focus and contents of the paper that addresses some of the current issues in building construction. The first part of this book presents selected topics on the development of life cycle cost (LCC) as an economic assessment technique and other aspects of cost control for building projects in the construction industry. These selected topics enlighten the importance and how the building owners and clients can think holistically and act wisely to identify potential cost-saving and to achieve the best value for money on the investment made on the building throughout the anticipated life span. The second part of this book presents selected topics on Shari'ah compliance with regard to the subject matter and mediation in the construction contracts. These selected topics articulate the overall view of the concept, characteristics, processes, and procedures of the Shari'ah-compliant construction contracts and its contemporary issues in the Malaysian construction industry. These selected topics also present the resemblances and differences between Shari'ah compliant and conventional with regard to a construction contracts in the Malaysian construction industry.
