This book presents a brief description of the morphology of the Brunei Malay dialect spoken at water settlement area. Data mostly are acquired from the Sab District, besides the tapes recorded from the Brunei Historical Center. Briefly, the Brunei Malay dialect is sub-divided into three sub-dialects that is the town dialect, water settlement dialect and Kedayan dialect. The discription of the morphology is mainly focused on the two suffixes: {-I} and {-kan} in terms of their various forms, distributions, functions and its meaning. Double suffixation is also considered. Apart from that, this book also describes the general morphology of Brunei Malay so as to give a clear picture of the dialects and to enable reader to comprehend the subsequent chapters
